With the great Sports Massage education I received I also knew that working with athletes to help improve their performance was something I was most interested in. My school's slogan was "A life evolving experience". Massage Therapy was just that for me. It opened my mind to so much information about the human body, mind, and condition. It also opened my heart and when I graduated I felt like a new person. I was only 19 at the time, so being one of the youngest people in my class was a little intimidating at first. But when I graduated and then went on to pass the National Certification Exam for Massage and Bodywork(NCTMB), earning me the Florida Department of Health Massage Therapy license, I truly felt like a health care professional. I felt ready to start working in this amazing and special health field. I had the tools from my education to go out and get my first Massage Therapy job. This is when the power of fate brought me to New Directions Health and Bodywork Professionals. New Directions has been in business since the 90's and is operated by Massage Therapists with over 15 years of experience. New Directions focus was Neuromuscular Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy for injured patients from car accidents, as well as Sports Massage for athletes, and On-Site Massage for employees at corporations.
