Massage Therapy by Nicole Davis LMT, NCTMB

Through New Directions I got to work on many patients recovering from car accidents and I learned how to assess injuries and effectively treat them over time. I was given the opportunity to work with a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist, giving the patients a total wellness program. I loved being a part of a patient's rehabilitation team, treating such conditions as whip lash and frozen shoulder. I became efficient at massaging through layers of clothes and running corporate accounts at such places as Lockheed Martin, Scholastic Bookfairs, and Orlando Sentinel. I was also able to work alongside a Douala and Prenatal massage specialist, who taught me how to properly care for and massage a pregnant woman at all stages of her pregnancy.

The therapists at New Directions took their time and effort to answer all of my questions and give me what became a crucial second education after school. Their generosity gave me my philosophy on body workers working together and supporting each other for the betterment of our clients. My mental and physical strength along with my confidence grew and blossomed working for New Directions. My niches became Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports massage, and On-Site massage. I owe much of my abilities to the training I was given at New Directions. Their knowledge and willingness to share their many years of well versed and wide varied experience with me shaped me into a well rounded and strong Massage Therapist. In addition to working for New Directions I had private outcall clients and my own Corporate accounts. I performed chair massage at numerous varieties of venues and events such as holiday parties, employee appreciation events, auctions, conventions, seminars, spa parties, and sporting events. It had been 3 years since I began my journey as a Massage Therapist when I decided to relocate to beautiful Denver, Colorado in 2008. I moved here with my boyfriend of 5 years who is becoming a Pharmacist at the University of Colorado. Upon moving here I became licensed in the city of Denver as a Massage Therapist and Registered with the state of Colorado as a Massage Therapist. I began working at Whole Foods throughout Denver performing Chair Massage and found the amazing space on South Pearl Street that I currently rent from. I share my space with an Acupuncturist (Carrie Brugger, L.Ac.) and a Licensed Clinical Social worker (Connie Klein, LCSW). We offer a total wellness program for our clients by referring patients to each other. I realized my dream is to one day have my own wellness center so I started the LLC Peace of Mind Therapeutic Massage and Wellness.
