Therapeutic Stretching by Nicole Davis LMT, NCTMB
Whether you are highly active or a senior citizen, having optimal flexibility will benefit your health greatly. Body movements are much more enjoyable when your body is flexible and capable of free and easy mobility without restriction.

Work, exercise, and repetitive movement confines joints within a restricted range of motion and decreases flexibility. Accidents, injuries, trauma, and aging also limit flexibility and range of motion. Stretching your muscles regularly can improve chronic pain conditions as well as prevent them. Stretching on your own is great. But what feels even greater is having the stretching assisted by a Massage Therapist. This is what is known as Therapeutic Stretching or Active Isolated Stretching. Active Isolated Stretching can loosen up adhesive and knotted muscles at the deepest fascial level, helping to realign the muscle spindles thus gaining better separation, and indeed definition within the muscles. Not only will I stretch you during your Massage, but I will be happy to show you stretches to do at home. If you wish to restore ease of movement, relaxation, and improved activity Therapeutic Stretching will greatly benefit you. You will feel rejuvenated and looser after you get off the massage table.
